This is why we can’t have nice things.
At this year’s European Ruby Conference (EuRuKo), Eloy Durán gave a delightfully silly talk, involving an a capella singing ‘intervention’ by Dutch group Muziektheater TEER.
Unfortunately, Muziektheater TEER’s singers being all female, and this being a tech conference, the inevitable ensued.

Update: EuRuKo’s wonderful team of organizers were very quick and robust in their response to this. They spoke to Michał, who apologized unreservedly, both to Eloy and his wife and publicly on Twitter. Thank you, EuRuKo team, for working so hard to create an inclusive environment, and we’re sorry this happened on your watch. :(
